A new hardware store is coming to Greenville, South Carolina, aimed at people who love a good project.
Officials with family-owned Rockler Woodworking and Hardware, call the 68-year-old chain, "one of the nation’s premier retailers of woodworking tools and supplies."
The first Rockler store in South Carolina is opening later this month at 1117 Woodruff Road, Suite C, in Greenville.
Besides selling exclusive lines of hardware, tools, supplies, officials said Rockler offers year-round woodworking classes and products used to build furniture, cabinets, and other projects.
The 8,500-square-foot space will be the Minnesota-based company’s 47th store in the country and will include a state-of-the-art classroom used for hands-on woodworking courses.

Until now, Upstate woodworkers had to go to Charlotte or Atlanta to visit a Rockler store.
The classes are led by the store’s expert woodworkers for crafters and DIYers of all skill levels, officials said. Students can make items like pens, bowls, cheeseboards, and many other projects that serve as great learning experiences, as well as gifts.
"The Rockler store will feature a Hardwood Lumber Outlet, a specialty space designed to make shopping for hardwood lumber more consumer-friendly," officials said. "Whether someone is a veteran woodworker or just starting out, we’ve got the gear and materials they need to tackle most any project and expert staff on-site to help guide their decisions."
Officials said Rockler has developed more than 1,000 unique products for woodworkers and routinely introduces new tools, jigs, hardware, and workshop fixtures.
